Preparation, previously sealed floors or new prefinished floorboards:
Clean the floor with SylvaNeutralizer
+ light sanding.

Masking and applying court line paint:
Mask with tape along all lines and areas to be coloured. We recommend masking tape TESA 4334
+ sealing of tape edges with HP SportLine, clear
+ 1 coat of HP SportsLine inside the marked areas, 6-8 m²/litres / 65-86 sq.ft per litre (245-345 sq.ft per gallon).
+ removal of masking tape
+ 1 coat of HP Sport on the full floor area, approx. 10-12 m²/litre /  / 110-130 sq.ft per litre (400-490 sq.ft per gallon).

Preparation, untreated/sanded floors:
Ensure that the surface is absolutely clean, dry and free from dust, polish and soap residues. Sand the surface to remove dirt and irregularities. Vacuum thoroughly.

  • Prime with one coat of Junckers PreLak or Junckers BasePrime and leave to dry.
  • Sand with sandpaper grit 150-180 longitudinally to the fibres of the wood.
  • Vacuum sanding dust and wipe off the floor with a cloth well wrung in clean water.
  • Apply one coat of Junckers HP Sport.
  • Leave to dry for 24 hours and proceed as described under “Masking and applying court line paint”.

Preparation, previously sealed floors or new prefinished floorboards:
Trial applications should be conducted on a couple of spots, 2 coats at 4 hours interval. After drying for 24 hours check the spots for adhesion by scraping with the edge of a coin. If the adhesion is functioning and the appearance of the surface is acceptable, the floor can be painted. If the trial application is not satisfactory, the floor has to be sanded to bare wood and relacquered before court marking can be conducted.

  • Wash the floor with Junckers SylvaNeutralizer and then sand it thoroughly using sandpaper grit 150-180.
  • Vacuum sanding dust.
  • Proceed as described under “Masking and applying the court line paint”.

Masking and applying court line paint:
Mask with tape along all lines and areas to be coloured. Use tape with low pull-off strength. We recommend masking tape TESA 4334.

  • To avoid bleeding and to create sharp and durable edges, you have to make sure that the tape seals tightly by applying it firmly to the floor.
  • Then seal the edges with HP SportsLine, clear.
  • Leave to dry minimum 1 hour.
  • Then apply one coat of court line paint in an even thick layer in the marked areas.
  • Leave to dry for minimum 16 hours before the masking tape is removed.
  • After removal of the tape, apply one coat of Junckers HP Sport on the full floor area. This protects the court line paint and ensures a uniform friction.

Before using the product, read the label on the container carefully and observe the recommended precautionary measures.
