When Wexford County Council needed new head office facilities, design was high on the list of priorities. The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland ran an open design competition on the council’s behalf, won by Robin Lee Architecture.

The contemporary space, a new 11,500m², €36 million building, needed an equally sleek interior and 1,500m² of Junckers’ Oak Boulevard wide board flooring was specified for several areas. Oak Boulevard is one of Junckers’ most prestigious floors with plank flooring that are a full 18.5cm wide solid hardwood. Pre-finished in Ultra Matt lacquer for a totally matt, modern look it’s a highly durable option perfect for high traffic areas.
Said architect Robin Lee: “It was crucial that we selected a product of exceptional quality and durability for the key spaces of the civic headquarters building and as market leaders in hardwood flooring, Junckers was our first choice.”
The floors were fitted by Glenwood flooring contractors.
