CEO change in Junckers

As per May 1st, 2020 Lars Gjødsbøl will take over as CEO of Junckers Industrier A/S, replacing Carsten Chabert.

After 20 years of working at Junckers, of which 12 years as CEO, Carsten Chabert has decided it is time to pass on the baton. Carsten retains his significant shareholding in the company and joins Junckers' Board of Directors in connection with his resignation as CEO.

Carsten Chabert is replaced by Lars Gjødsbøl. Lars is 49, lives in Snekkersten in North Zealand, with his wife and three children. For the past 16 years, Lars has worked in the industrial company Nilfisk, of which 14 years as part of Group Management, where he has had several different positions. Lars comments on his new job at Junckers: “It is with equal pride and humility that I have accepted the role of CEO of Junckers. To me Junckers represents a piece of the Danish industrial history and I look forward to engaging with and helping the company to take the next important steps in its development together with its dedicated employees.“

About the background to his decision, Carsten says: “The time now is right, because we after a year and a half with JFK's ownership period, are about to determine a new long plan period for Junckers. At the same time, knowing that within the next couple of years, I would like to spend more time with my family and in the long run try new challenges, I therefore think it was best for everyone to make the decision now. I am grateful, for the past 20 years, to have been a part of Juncker's history, which has offered great variety in the challenges in an organization that produces and sells some of the best hardwood floors on the market.”

In the circle of ownership, of which Carsten Chabert will continue to be a part, we thank Carsten for the great and good efforts he has made for Junckers. An effort that has helped to attract a capacity like Lars Gjødsbøl to continue the development of Junckers. We look forward to the new cooperation.

Best regards,

Per Kristensen
Chairman of the Board
