How many times can a portable hardwood basketball court be installed and removed?
A portable hardwood basketball court does not have one universal number of installation cycles. Its usable life depends on the system design, locking or connection details, handling, transport, storage conditions, panel condition, and maintenance between events.
Repeated assembly is part of a portable court's purpose, but each cycle must be managed correctly. Panels should be handled with suitable equipment, kept dry, protected at edges and connectors, stacked as specified, and stored in controlled conditions. Dirt in connections, impact damage, uneven support, or poor transport restraint can shorten service life even when the hardwood surface still looks sound.
Keep an inspection record for every installation and removal. Check the playing surface, panel joints, connectors, underside, markings, and any damaged or replaced components before the next event. Follow the manufacturer's current handling and maintenance instructions, and have the supplier assess questionable panels. A fixed cycle count should only be used when it is documented for the selected product and operating conditions.
